Make Your 2008 Resolution A Traffic Solution

This New Year the Downtown TMA is encouraging Downtown Commuters to make their 2008 resolution part of Atlanta’s traffic solution. By changing a drive-alone commute to a clean commute at least one day a week, it is helping solve Atlanta’s air quality and traffic congestion issues.

From January 14, 2008 through February 15, 2008 the Downtown TMA is challenging commuters to try a clean commute to work like walking, biking, taking transit, vanpooling, carpooling or teleworking every day – or almost every day. By logging on to the Downtown TMA’s Commuter Reward’s site each day, winners can receive $15 for logging their clean commute to work. In addition, the TMA would like you to send in your resolution (300 words or less) on how you can be part of the traffic and air quality solution in Atlanta. The winner will receive a commuter pack worth $200. Two runners-up will also be announced and receive $100 commuter packs.

It’s easy! Sign up for or continue logging on Commuter Rewards and on February 19th, we’ll announce the winners! All participants interested in sending in your resolution (300 words or less).

 Program Elements:

• Log your clean commute at least 23 times (46 one-way trips) from 1/14/08 through 2/15/08 and win $15
• In addition, send in your new year’s traffic solution resolution of 300 words or less. The Downtown TMA will pick one winner and the winner will receive a commuter prize pack worth over $200.
• Two runners up will receive commuter packs valued at $100 each
• All winners will be announced in the TMA newsletter, the ‘Downtown Connector’

Restrictions:

• All commutes must me non-drive alone trips like walking, biking, carpooling,   vanpooling or telework.
• Winners in the resolution write-in portion must be Downtown Commuter Rewards participants and have logged at least once from 1/14/08 to 2/15/08.
