 (context) Opens Modern Design Furniture Gallery in Downtown Atlanta 

(context), a new 8,000 sq. ft. furniture gallery specializing in modern design European furniture, art and accessories, recently opened a retail showroom in the heart of Downtown Atlanta.  Located on the ground floor of the historic Freeman Ford Building on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue, (context) offers modern design options, most of which were previously unavailable in the Atlanta area, including furniture lines such as Cappellini, Carl Hansen & Son, e15, Gervasoni, Magis, Baleri Italia as well as lighting fixtures by Prandina and Jielde.  Famous designers featured include Jasper Morrison, Hans J. Wegner, Marcel Wanders and Konstantin Grcic, all visionaries whose works are represented in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York as well as most major museums throughout the world. 

(context) was founded by Jeffrey Shelley and Pui Panich in 2006, both well-known to discerning Atlanta design patrons.  Shelley, an interior designer, has worked with such international companies as B&B Italia, Driade, Cassina and Ligne Roset, and has inspired a dedicated following of modern design collectors.  Raised in Bangkok, Thailand, multi-talented Panich graduated from the Atlanta College of Art and was for a number of years a key figure in the Atlanta art community. 

(context) is focused on being a vital community presence and will host regular art openings, design lectures and select fundraising events.
