  Having Fun
Turner First Thursdays

Highlights

This is the perfect time to experience art inside and out.
This month we invite you to stroll with us through magnificent buildings and streets to enjoy the beauty of our city and the art created by our neighbors. Come take a walk with us the First Thursday of each month, from 5-8 p.m. This month you may extend your gallery walk by visiting "Paint in the Pods" at the Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View from 7-10 p.m.

Upcoming Dates:

  • August 7, 2008
  • September 4, 2008
  • October 2, 2008
  • November 6, 2008
  • December 4, 2008

Over the past months Turner First Thursdays has continued to grow with new programs and additional venues so that art lovers can view the arts, tour the historic districts of Downtown and enjoy various discounts at Downtown restaurants. Turner First Thursdays is a self-guided tour of galleries, with no beginning or ending point, you are free to move at your own pace. We even put together some sample itineraries for you.

With its growth, Turner First Thursdays has become more than just an arts walk. It is an event where singles can meet, business people can unwind, and couples can enjoy the beauty of Downtown’s landscape. And all these are accomplished while taking in the culture that the arts offer. To put it simply, no two trips could ever be the same.
