Atlanta Downtown Design Excellence Award
Following the success of the Atlanta Downtown Design Excellence Award (ADDEA) in 2006 and 2007, Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) will once again honor Downtown businesses for their design innovations during this past year. The ADDEA raises awareness about quality additions, renovations, rehabs, and new construction projects in Downtown Atlanta. This year’s Design Excellence Award will be given in five categories, according to the usage of the nominated space: Hotel, Institution, Office, Residential, and Restaurant/Bar.
CAP will accept nominations for the ADDEA from business/property owners and architecture enthusiasts through August 15, 2008. ADDEA judges (listed below) will then evaluate these entries at site visits. During the fall, the public can vote online at CAP’s website for its own favorites. ADDEA’s co-sponsor, Atlanta Magazine, will feature applicants’ photos in its November issue and present Design Excellence Award winners at Downtown Development Day on Nov. 6, 2008.
